The third Triton Poker Super High Roller Series stop in 2019 will make history. After a long wait, the Triton organization finally confirmed the highest buy-in poker tournament in history: The Triton Million — A helping hand for charity, which introduces a curious format and makes part of the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series in London.

Triton Poker Super High Roller Series in 2019

Triton Poker has awarded over $80M in prizes in 2019. The first stop was played in March in Jeju, South Korea, and after that, the action returned to Montenegro. Professional players like Jason Koon, Timofey Kuznetsov, Justin Bonomo, among others have won the most significant events of Triton this year. At the last stop in May, the Triton organization added new formats like Short Deck Turbo, but high rollers were waiting for the biggest poker tournament ever seen, which is now confirmed for London.

From July 31st to August 8th, the London Hilton on Park Lane will see millions of dollars flowing from the best poker pros that attend the Triton call. Seven tournaments are scheduled (the sum of all buy-ins is £1,4M, over $1,7M!). Only Short Deck and NLH events will be played, with the Main Event starting on August 4th, two days of action, and unlimited re-entries. As usual, 4% is charged as the rake, and 2% is withheld as a service charge. Despite having several high rollers events planned, all eyes are staring at Event #2, Triton Million for Charity, with three days of action starting on August 1st and a massive buy-in of £1,05M.

Triton Million for Charity, a dream for high rollers

Never in poker history, a tournament had had such a huge buy-in. £1,05M is the price to make history in the Triton Million for Charity, and to make it more special, not everyone is allowed to participate. Triton organized an exclusive invitation-only event, and a committee decided if a player fell into the category of Invitations (Recreational player, Businessman) or Guest (Guest Player, Professional Poker Player).

Only Invitation Holders will be allowed to deposit £50k* in advance to secure their seat in the tournament, and only after that, the invitation holder is permitted to appoint one Guest. Also, a potential Guest can register in a waiting list that will be shared with players already registered.

*Note: The £50k deposit is non-refundable, and it will be donated to Charity in case of no-show.

So far, twelve Businessman/Recreational players have confirmed their attendance to the event, but only ten poker pros have been invited:

After the Triton Poker SHR London 2019, poker won't be the same anymore as they have raised the bar too high, and that only proves that grinding is very much alive nowadays.
